Michael McMurtry, M.D.

As Vice President, Clinical Documentation and Strategy, Dr. McMurtry has an accomplished history of working in the health care information technology and services industry. Dr. McMurtry’s experience includes software development, healthcare consulting and informatics, healthcare information technology and interoperability, quality registries, sales operations and product management.

Dr. McMurtry joined Provation in 1999. Before joining the company, he was a Senior Toxicologist and Manager of Risk Assessment Services who evaluated the safety of new medical devices and performed environmental, occupational, and medical-product risk assessments on behalf of private industry for submission to regulatory agencies. Dr. McMurtry attended Dartmouth College for his Bachelor of Arts, the University of Arizona College of Medicine for his Doctor of Medicine degree, and Mayo Graduate School of Medicine for his Orthopedic Surgery internship.
