Migrate Pathology Result PDFs

Did you know that you can now migrate the PDF of pathology results that were stored in Provation MD as part of the historical pathology results interface? If you'd like to explore this, reach out to your Customer Success Manager.

How to manually upload images or videos into a Provation MD procedure using file capture

Follow these step-by-step instructions to enable/use File Capture to manually import images on a PC with Provation MD installed

  1. Login to Provation MD.
  2. Navigate to Utilities > Configuration Center > Advanced tab > Advanced Settings
  3. Your PC name should be highlighted by default (if not please select it), then click the Edit button (notebook with pencil) at the bottom. To change the following settings, please click once on the highlighted item and click on the Edit button at the bottom.
    • To enable the ability to import images, set the value for FileCapture to True.
    • To enable the ability to import videos, set the value for FileCaptureVideo to True.
    • Make a note of what the VideoCaptureDirectory Current Value is. Usually it is C:\ProvationVideo.
  4. Save and close.
  5. Images can be saved in any folder, but Videos MUST be saved in the VideoCaptureDirectory Current Value folder (C:\ProvationVideo). If the folder does not exist, you will need to create it.
  6. Navigate to Procedure Documentation and open the procedure report that you wish to import the images to.
  7. Click on Tools at the top menu > File Capture.
  8. Click "Select Folder" button and browse to the folder location of the images - Click OK.
  9. The images will appear on the screen.
    • Videos will appear with a play button icon.
  10. Check the boxes of each image that you want to save, or click on the Select All button at the top menu.
  11. Click the Save button.
