About Dr. Peter H. Rubin
Dr. Rubin has been practicing gastroenterology in New York City since 1975. He is an Associate Clinical Professor of Medicine at the Mount Sinai School of Medicine where he is actively involved in educating fellows, residents and medical students.
Most recently, Dr. Rubin established his own practice, an ambulatory surgery center (ASC) specializing in gastroenterology and gastrointestinal endoscopy, on Park Avenue in the Upper East Side of Manhattan, New York.
ASC Challenge
Dr. Rubin’s mission in establishing his own practice was to integrate modern technologies and therapeutics with traditional medical practice to focus on in-depth consultation and thorough examination of the patient. In order to accomplish this, he knew implementing a trusted procedure documentation software solution would be of utmost importance, so he adopted Olympus’ EndoWorks software.
This solution was sufficient for his practice until Olympus sunset EndoWorks and stopped maintaining critical updates, causing his entire procedure documentation solution to crash. For over a month, Dr. Rubin was unable to perform his procedures at this ASC location.
It was time for Dr. Rubin to find a trusted, comprehensive solution for his ASC that was also an Olympus EndoWorks preferred replacement

Dr. Rubin frequently performs complex post-surgical and inflammatory bowel disease (IBD) procedures and grew accustomed to having the deep medical content of Provation MD at his fingertips while performing procedures at Mount Sinai.
When Dr. Rubin heard Provation had a new SaaS platform that will have the same deep medical content and anticipatory workflow, without the large IT footprint, he was intrigued.
