Artificial Intelligence in Gastroenterology
Artificial intelligence (AI) in gastroenterology is finally here. Together, Provation and Iterative Health are empowering clinicians, life science researchers, and other healthcare leaders in gastroenterology with the tools needed to work smarter, faster, and with more accuracy. After all, the quality of patient care depends on it.
With our gastroenterology artificial intelligence technology, Provation and Iterative Health are on a shared mission to minimize healthcare disparities.
Gastroenterology artificial intelligence pioneer, Iterative Health, is partnering with Provation to help drive a new standard of care for the detection, and ultimately, treatment of gastrointestinal (GI) diseases. Our collective goal is to improve the speed, accuracy, and consistency of endoscopy readings – and we are doing so by integrating powerful, proprietary artificial and computer vision technologies into our key gastroenterology software solutions, like Provation® Apex.
Real-Time AI for Polyp Detection
SKOUT® artificial intelligence for gastroenterology polyp detection can help even the most thorough gastroenterologists detect more adenomas during a colonscopy.
SKOUT, a computer-aided detection (CADe) device from our AI partners Iterative Health, uses advanced computer-vision technology to recognize potentially suspicious colorectal polyps and provides gastroenterologists with real-time feedback, with the goal of early lesion detection.
A recent study has shown SKOUT to increase overall adenoma detection by up to 27%.1Â SKOUT does not replace a full patient examination or physician judgement, however, it can assist endoscopists by analyzing colonoscopy video feed in real time to identify polyps and present visual indicators.
