Maurice Abney is Senior Director of Clinical Informatics Solutions for LifePoint Hospitals where he manages clinical nursing, operations and processes, training and informatics. He also serves as project manager for EHR initiatives across three hospital information systems. Abney previously worked as a systems engineer and project manager for state healthcare in Georgia and California and as a hospital corpsman in the US Navy and Navy Reserve. Abney holds a Master of Science in Nursing, a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science and Business Administration, and is currently an MBA candidate. Maurice is also an ANCC board-certified Adult Health Clinical Nurse Specialist and continues to practice clinically.
