SEAMLESS INTEGRATION OF IMAGING AND DOCUMENTATION
In a move that will dramatically increase efficiency and accuracy in surgical and endoscopic imaging, Wolters Kluwer Health and C.R. Kennedy announce an important co-marketing agreement that seamlessly integrates world-leading software and leading-edge hardware.
20 OCT, 2008 -- Wolters Kluwer Health, a leading global provider of information for healthcare professionals and students, announced today that it has signed an agreement to co-market its ProVation Medical software with C.R. Kennedy, Australia's foremost importer and distributor of photographic, medical, CCTV and survey equipment. Under the agreement, hospitals and health systems in Australia and New Zealand would have access to seamless procedure documentation and imaging integration between ProVation Medical software, which automates procedure documentation, and C.R. Kennedy’s endoscopic imaging solutions.
ProVation software replaces dictation and transcription and allows physicians to efficiently document procedures at the point of care. Interfacing with scopes and other IT systems, the software allows clinicians to generate a multi-media note and ancillary documents within minutes after the procedure. The result is electronic documentation that increases efficiency, satisfies physicians and improves the capture and tracking of patient data.
C.R. Kennedy is the Australasian importer and distributor of Pentax flexible endoscopes. Pentax recently released the exceptional "i-series" gastroscopes and colonoscopes. Coupled with the new Pentax EPK-i processor, they represent the world's first HD+ gastrointestinal endoscopy system offering resolution significantly beyond that of HDTV. C.R. Kennedy's Medical Division was established in 1981. Today, the company’s service facilities are second to none, and their long established practice of rebuilding components ensures customers receive the most thorough and economic service in the world.
“Wolters Kluwer Health is committed to forming strategic partnerships with companies like C.R. Kennedy, whose products complement our ProVation systems and offer additional value to our customers,” said Arvind Subramanian, Wolters Kluwer Health Clinical Solutions division and ProVation Medical. “Together, ProVation software and C.R. Kennedy’s medical imaging solutions will offer the ultimate in efficiency and seamless integration between image management and procedure documentation to our joint hospital and surgery centre clients.”
“The combined strength of C.R. Kennedy’s surgical and endoscopic imaging solutions and ProVation Medical software is a powerful combination,” stated Graham Hines, General Manager, Medical Division, C.R. Kennedy. “We’re looking forward to a very successful relationship.”
Wolters Kluwer Health will be demonstrating its ProVation software products in Booth #26 at Australian Gastroenterology Week, 22-25 October, Brisbane.
